We have a couple of quick local marketing questions for you.

Do you have a website?

If you do, do you know how much traffic you are getting?

Do you know if your site is showing up on relevant searches for your product or service?

If you don’t have a website, you are missing out on the influx of traffic that is building in Southwest Florida. Reserving your spot now has never been simpler, by using WordPress, we can develop a website for you that will be something you can be proud of. It will also be something that you can update yourself or allow us to update for you at a price you won’t believe!

Social Networks are booming across Southwest Florida. Sites like Twitter and Facebook are becoming the next must have thing in Local Business arsenals.

Why? Because thousands of residents of Fort Myers and Naples are using them every day to network and connect with friends. If your not there, you are missing a valuable place to communicate with your customers. We include presences on these sites and full training on how to get the most out of them with every new client that joins us.

If you answered yes to having a website and no or I don’t know to the remaining questions, you are most likely missing out on leads for valuable new customers!

A quick survey of Fort Myers websites turned up one factor that was pervasive. They aren’t optimized for any search related to their product or service.

Title Tags, the words in your website code that tells Google, Yahoo, and MSN what your website are all about were either simply the name of the Store or Business, or even worse were not there!

Here’s a freebie from Andrian Marketing. The Title of your website should look like this: City Name, Service or Product Name, Business Name. That way Google knows what your site is all about.

Hint #2 these tags should be in your site description as well.

We know for a fact that one industry is missing out on over 100,000 searches for their product or service every month!

If your having trouble with getting your message out to the public, feel free to contact us locally at 239-233-9681. By email @ info@andrianmarketing.com or simply fill out the form on the contact us page!

If marketing is about AWARE, PR Public Relations, is about PERCEPTION.

How your community perceives your product or service is something that most companies perceive to be reserved for only national brands. It could be argued however, that that type of thinking is why few local businesses ever truly become successful.

The key to Local PR whether your business resides in Naples, Fort Myers, or Toluca Lake is actually how you reach out to the community. How are you involved in the daily lives of your customers. Do you sponsor events at local schools? How about sports teams. Are you involved in local Charities?

The question in short is, when people think about you, Do they think favorably, unfavorably, or worse do they not think about you at all.

Each company is different so there are a myriad variety of ways for a business owner to increase their PR Quotient. Let us give your company a thorough analysis of how you can increase your message in the local community. Trust us, there is more to PR than a Press Release.

Call 239-233-9681 now Season is coming soon. Is your message clear and ready to be delivered to your community?

Dispelling the myths about owning a keyword domain name.

Before you buy your domain name, please read this article. It could save you hours on SEO and hundreds of dollars if you outsource.

After doing some research for a domain name for a friends website, I curiously saw some SEO experts downplaying the importance of having a keyword rich domain name.

Let me put this matter to bed now.

YOU MUST HAVE A KEYWORD DOMAIN NAME!

Okay, okay, that was a bit strong I know. Yes, you can manage to survive without it by using anchor tags in your inbound links, but you are multiplying the time it will take for you to have your site show up in search results by at least 100%.

Need proof, take a look at this screenshot I took from www.nichewatch.com the best source for the behind the scenes action on the race to number one!

Keyword Domain

The above statistics are for the Google Search, “Miami Auto Insurance”. You can see quite clearly that the domain highlighted in Yellow is the keyword domain “miamiautoinsurance.com” it currently has 9 inbound links and it has been in that position for at least the last 60 days!

Our site has a total of 134 links to the Index Page and another 91 links to our page on Miami Auto Insurance! Don’t bother trying to check the results, we have already been bounced to page 2 number 11.

So what can we learn from this little experiment? You must have keywords in your domain! The closer to the exact keywords you are optimizing for the better if you want to make it easy on yourself.

1. There are three additional points to remember. Yahoo/Bing place a lot of emphasis on Keyword Domains. Often new sites without any links will place highly in search results.

2. There are 4 different valuable versions to look at when choosing a domain name.

www.keyword.com

www.keyword-keyword.com (Google skips the hyphen)

www.keyword.net

(Note, I have seen .orgs, and .bizs rank high but the farther away you get from .com, the more inbound linking you have to do get a high ranking.)

3. Just having a Keyword Domain is not enough to keep you ranked forever! You must have some links to your site or Google will drop you down in the results.

Ready to find your next great domain? Try, Lowest Cost Domains.

Need help finding links? We are currently ranked number 4 on Google for “Miami Insurance” beating over 20,000,000 other sites using this list

Okay, we’ve all heard the reviews from friends and family.

“Oh, The Secret, my friend read it and said it was a joke so I didn’t bother,” says Mom.

“It worked for a while and then I gave up because I didn’t get the car I wanted,” says Uncle Larry.

“It’s just a lot of metaphysical hokum,” says your best friend.

Let’s be quite honest, each and every one of those statements is absolutely true. Look at the search results there are just as many con articles as there are pro articles written about The Law of Attraction and The Secret. So we must say that the statements are true. FOR THEM!

Yes for them. They got out of it exactly what they put into it, and I am sure that what they put into it was exactly what most people put into it. “I’ve read the book, now where’s my Ferrari.”

The fact of the matter is, there is a Secret to The Secret and The Law of Attraction, in fact, make that 3 Secrets. The first will leave most people kicking themselves. The second is perhaps something that most people fail to recognize. The third, well the third takes some work but there are two professionals who are ready to help you!

Let’s start with the first Secret. What does The Secret warn you about straight away in the book? The Universe manifests our thoughts and it cautions us to focus on our thoughts and remain positive. It’s kind of a scare tactic. Think bad thoughts and bad things will happen to you; think good thoughts and you’ll get good things (The Ferrari).

There is a better way to explain this because of the simple fact that in many ways, we do what most children will do when faced with this dilemma. We’ll act good until we get what we want and then go back to normal after we get it. Think I’m wrong? Ask yourself why all the little terrors in your neighborhood become angels around Christmastime!

The same goes for us if we don’t get what we want. We’re good positive people and we think about the new house or money and after a while we don’t get what we want and feel foolish and cheated and revert back to the glass is half-empty realists we were.

We are ignoring a singular fact here that eludes all of us. When I read that book, I was a tremendously positive person. Everything was possible and I was going to get it. But it seemed to take a while and then I got discouraged and reverted. What did I miss?

I was happy! My friends said so, my wife said so, my parents thought so. I was a positive person for a change and people liked to have me around. And then I woke up one day and forgot. It happens. I forgot that nothing happens to me unless I act. If I don’t do anything how can I ever get what I want?

Let me give you an example. A while back I worried about losing my job so I started staying up late at night working on side projects. Then I overslept and the boss fired me. You can say that it’s my fault because it was, but you can also say that by thinking negatively about my job I put myself in the position where my boss had the excuse he needed to let me go! Every time I had trouble at work, it’s because I was worried about my job or needed an excuse to leave. I got my wish every single time!

The moral here is that if I had just remained positive that something better was going to happen and remained a joyful person I might have enjoyed my job more or at least been someone that another company would kill to have work for them! So be positive for the only reason that I can think of. IT FEELS BETTER. Don’t do it for the car do it for yourself to feel better.

The Second Secret is something that most people fail to realize. If you look at the DVD and the book you notice that it’s extremely basic. Why, was it so simple? So that everyone could get the basic understanding of what The Law of Attraction was all about!

The Secret is, AN EASY READER. It’s only the beginning of a much larger course of study that delves both into our connection with the world around us and entreats us to look deeper into ourselves to become better people. The answer here is that for the Law of Attraction to work, it must become a lifestyle and not a phase.

The third Secret does take some work. I’ve been hinting at it throughout this article, I wonder if you’ve picked up on it yet. The reason why The LOA didn’t work for you is YOU! Yes with all our hang-ups and pre-conceived notions we stopped the Universe from working for us and turned it against us. How?

Let me ask you if this sounds familiar. You’ve had a great day, you’ve said all the right things, and you’ve thought all the positive thoughts but its taking a little while to manifest. So, late at night as you sit in the dark you do what countless people do. You quietly sabotage yourself back to what you think is reality.

You know the thoughts I’m speaking of: “This can’t possibly work.” “There’s no such thing as free.” You can’t help it but you did it didn’t you? Come on be honest for a second and admit it. You did set yourself up to fail. Don’t worry I did too. That’s why I decided that the positive feeling I had was something I needed to have or I couldn’t survive and decided to invest in my own well being.

I sought out help from two of the experts who helped write The Secret with Rhonda Bhyrne, Dr. Joe Vitale, and Bob Procter. These to gentlemen have forgotten more about The Law of Attraction than most people know. Their programs are designed to help us get past the barriers we erect inside our minds and help us do what the The Law of Attraction was meant to do. Help us be happier and more content with our lives! There programs are in depth and include methods that are designed to combat all of the negative emotions we carry around with us. I do not have room to go into more detail about their programs; however you can read more about them by clicking The Law of Attraction.

Remember, it’s never too late to feel better about your life and to act in ways that WILL make it something you’ll want to live. Don’t give up hope when help is just a click away!

Good Luck.

Restaurant Marketing – Four Free Ways to Increase Your Cover Count!

If you own or operate a Restaurant in Fort Myers and Naples, you know that there are challenges to developing a consistent “year round” customer base.

A simple school of thought for our current economy might be what can I do to bring them in, instead of waiting for them to find you!

Here are a couple of ways that Naples and Fort Myers area Restaurants can use Twitter to increase their cover count.

Twitter falls into the realm of “Micro-blogging” users get 140 characters in which to share their lives and the events therein with others. The key here is that in large markets, there are literally thousands of people who use Twitter for everything from status updates, to marketing, to planning their next trip. Many businesses even use Twitter to keep up on their public reputation!

In local markets like Fort Myers there are daily Twitter posts or “Tweets” from people looking for something to do or the best place to hang out, yet very often I see that those info requests went without any type of response from any business! This is free business that is literally asking to spend money and there is no one there to respond!

Restaurant managers and owners must have a Twitter presence when one considers the short amount of time it takes to set up a Twitter account and how amazingly fast and easy it is to actually post a message. Did I mention the added bonus for all owners and managers in a recessionary economy? IT’S ABSOLUTELY FREE!

Go to Twitter.com right now and set up an account. Use the name of your restaurant as the name of the account. Be sure that you include your website address in your profile and your address so that people can find your location. Don’t have a website yet? Shame on you! They are remarkably affordable and with WordPress becoming so easy to use and popular now is the perfect time. Contact me on how you can catch up. Once your account is set up, pick 10 people to follow, most, if not all will choose to follow you in return. You can find people in your area by searching Twitter for your city. Have your host or hostess find 10 new people every day. Trust me they know how Tweet!

Here is what you have been waiting for: How Restaurant Managers and Owners can use Twitter to increase their cover count tonight! Every night before line up, have your hostess post the following information to your Twitter account.

1. Running a happy hour? Post the details with accurate times!

2. What are your dinner specials for the evening? Let your Twitter followers know!

3. Do you have live band or a DJ? Let your Twitter followers know who they are and what kind of music they play.

4. Run a Twitter Special! Everyone who mentions your Tweet can receive a special discount or a free draft or well drink as thanks for coming in.

Now you may not jump from 100 to 150 covers over night but remember you are building powerful word of mouth advertising here. You know, the advertising you want but isn’t usually for sale.

We offer full educational training on Twitter and all Social Networks for our clients. Contact us now and we’ll develop a personal marketing plan that will suit your needs!

In order to help the local community get the most out of the internet we are posting these Internet Marketing Steps. Many of you will already know how to take advantage of the information we are publishing here. But if you need some help, give us a call at 239-233-9681 for more information on how you can attract more business whether you are in season or without!

Marketing Steps
Step 1
Website Dev. and SEO
Create website with Branded Domain and Keyword Sensitive Domain to increase search results.

Step 2
Begin PPC campaigns,
Google,
Yahoo,
MSN,
tyBit,

These campaigns will commence in the order that they are listed due to the amount of users and searches available on each search engine. They will also work consecutively so that we are able to understand the performance of each engine prior to starting a new campaign on another PPC network.

Keyword focus and GeoLocation will be on local markets due to the primary fact that a person searching for “Product” is generally looking for information about your product while a search for “Chicago Product” is generally looking to attain your product.

It is important to note that the PPC campaigns will filter directly into your ongoing SEO program in that we will be able to target specific keywords that are providing the greatest ROI and apply those keywords to each site and seek to gain those sites top 5 status on Search Engine Results pages. This will sharply cut your budget for PPC and allow us to develop new keywords for SEO.

The end goal will be that the lions share of traffic and earnings is generated from FREE search results and not PPC, thus greatly decreasing our adspend and increasing our return on investment.

PPC campaigns will continue after Top 5 rankings are attained however to garner returns from the Search Partners and Content Network advertising programs.

Step 3
Press Release,
A press release should be distributed through the PR Wire network of sites to increase name recognition, educate the public about the benefits of the product and increase SEO with an anchor tagged link.

This release should also be distributed to the cable news networks with benefits delineated so as to attract attention.

Step 4
Banner Ad Campaigns,
As your PPC campaigns develop begin researching local and national markets to define which sites are receiving the most traffic and begin negotiating CPM or CPA (Cost per Thousand or Cost Per Action) programs with the website owners in each market.

Step 5
Re-SEO
The best traffic is the traffic you don’t have to pay for. Sound SEO principles applied directly to local markets will yield a greater ROI for each site and should eventually replace the expensive PPC campaigns that are being run. As an ongoing program take the best keywords from your PPC campaigns and develop your inbound link anchors to include those keywords thus building our organic search results clicks.

In organic search results, 40% of clicks on a keyword do go to the Top 5 websites listed with the remaining 60% being dispersed among the local search results, and PPC ads and the remaining organic search results.

Step 6
Directories:
The use of local directories cannot be underestimated. We will develop local search listings for your company with geocentric keywords attached to each on DMOZ, Google Local Results, Yahoo Local Results, MSN Live Search, Best of The Web, Yelp.com, MerchantCircle.com, and any other local directories that are advantageous to be a part of.

Step 7
Secondary Marketing Techniques
It would be well to your products benefit to enlist the aid of online affiliate programs such as Commission Junction and LinkShare to allow the internet community to deliver you new leads for a small referral fee. This affiliate marketing strategy has proven results and is very popular in the Various Industries.

Step 8
Mixed Media
We strongly recommend a video series about your product and its uses for prospective clientele. Answers to frequently asked questions and how to’s will build trust and confidence in your company. Video series will be disseminated to all major video sharing sites.

Step 9
Internal Marketing
Your best salesperson is an existing customer. By creating referral programs and incentives for existing clients who refer you new leads builds a strong sales force and potential for creating lifetime clients.
1. Create a monthly newsletter with information on how customers can save money on various aspects of their life or improve their homes.
2. Thank you cards sent out monthly or bimonthly thanking them for their business and soliciting their input in how your company is doing.
3. A bi monthly phone call to existing clients. (NOTE! this is not a sales call, this is a how’s the family call)

Step 9
Social Networking
All of your employees must begin using Twitter and Facebook, as both a marketing and an educational tool. By following like minded individuals and the general public your company can read the pulse of the public and meet needs that most companies don’t know exist. It will also be helpful in developing relationships with people who may want to receive more information regarding your products for their clients.

Real World Advertising
It should be considered that Print, Radio, and Television advertising rates are at an all time low with the increase of internet advertising. For Brand creation it should be considered that a regional advertising program that includes all 3 may serve to push your brand forward in the public eye.
We have worked with all three mediums in both production and negotiation, and feel that if the budget is adequate it may be worthwhile.

I certainly hope that the information provided above will serve to inform you about our skills and what we can do. We have served as the primary marketing team for 2 national companies and feel that we are more than equal to the task at hand.

AS an SEO basic, if you are attempting to increase local sales, Your first keyword should always be your City Name. i.e. Fort Myers Marketing, etc.

Joomla is an amazing open source content management system that is extremely easy to use and will only get better. Why? because developers around the globe are working to make it better!

But you already knew that or you wouldn’t be here right now looking for Custom Joomla Template. Right?

What I noticed after spending hours of looking at Joomla Designs, was that I found a lot of designs that were close but none that exactly fit the bill. I knew what I wanted but what I needed was a Joomla WYSIWYG Editor.

Well I finally found it! Artisteer is, hands down, the easiest way to create a custom Joomla template I have ever seen. It allows you to work at a level that you are comfortable with. New to design? Artisteer will suggest everything from a complete Jooomla template to individual menus, headers, and layouts. If you are more into the design aspect you can modify gradients, glares, shadows, transparencies, or upload your own graphics. Artisteer will create a file with everything you need to export to your host when your done. I installed mine in a matter of seconds.

Fast Economical Service. Many changes in as little as 24 hours! We can work with any theme! Want to do it yourself? Read the article below for the best help out there.)

As someone who designs almost completely with WordPress, I have naturally found that the greatest part of my developing a Custom WordPress Theme resides in modifying the CSS in WordPress Themes to get the design I am looking for. I am by no means an expert but I do know what works and what doesn’t!

After my 7th theme I have noticed that I am never quite satisfied with how they look when they are done. You can almost always see that they have been messed with. But after 6 or 7 hours of “Modify CSS, Save, Refresh,” one can get kind of loopy. I need a WordPress WYSIWYG or WordPress Theme Editor!

My brother, a web guru, found this WordPress Theme Editor that has taken 4-5 hours of time off my standard WordPress Theme conversion rate. Artisteer, #1 Automated Web Design Software for Blogs, CMS and Portals. Generate templates for WordPress, Joomla and Drupal. You might be thinking that A WordPress Editor or WordPress WYSIWYG may be beneath you or even above your head, but you have to trust me, no matter what level of user you are, brand new or old hat, you can use Artisteer. It has a very simple design Interface as you can see here.

Click to See a Full Size Image: IT WILL OPEN IN NEW TAB OR WINDOW!

WordPress Theme Editor

As you can see my current WordPress Theme was developed with Artisteer. The approximate design time using this WordPress WYSIWYG was 2 hours. Keep in mind that I have only been using the program for 4 days!

If customization isn’t your bag, don’t worry, Artisteer has the ability to suggest everything from a complete theme, to headers, to font schemes. Once you get into it, it’s actually quite fun!

You can use their graphics or your own as I have here. It’s entirely up to you.

Who Should Use Artisteer.? Anyone who wants to create their own blog and make it personal. Anyone who creates WordPress Themes for a living. Anyone who wants to create multiple sites in an extremely short amount of time!

Artisteer charges a nominal fee for this award winning program. $49.95 for the basic “Home Edition” (WordPress Only) and $129.95 for the “Standard Edition” which

In the past year, the Press Release has been solidified as a foundational marketing tool for both the internet and real world marketing of large and small businesses alike. Why? Because the Press Release serves two purposes: It informs readers about your business and it provides valuable inbound traffic to your website, provided your press release is optimized for the best possible results in both arenas. From what I’ve seen very few people have any idea how to do this which means most people are missing out.

To be clear, there is no wrong way to write a press release, there are some basic formats that you need to have but most PR website directories will provide that formatting for you. What you can do if you write a press release is make sure that there is a reason for writing it. Are you planning an event that you want people to attend? Are you planning on donating proceeds to charity? Are you donating time to a charity? What is the reason that the press or the people should care? Take some time before you send out a Press Release and make sure that the message that you are sending is one people are going to want to be read.

That said the two areas that are of the most important when it comes to your Press Release and really any post that you are going to make on the internet is the Title and the Link. It never ceases to amaze me when I see a great press release with an event that should have gotten attention but didn’t because the title was something like “Company Name donates $10,000 to local charity.” Well that’s great, short and to the point and not giving really any information at all. Hundreds of Press Releases are sent and posted every day. How can you expect anyone to find it? What are your Tags, i.e. what industry are you in? Do you have a website? What keywords are you using? The most popular keywords need to be in your title, this can’t be stressed enough because Press Release Databases get indexed and that means that if someone is looking for information on a topic, very often press releases come up. Also what is the name of the Charity? Is it famous, if it is, YOU MUST USE THE NAME! This is important because if someone searches for that Charity, you absolutely want your press release showing up as a contributor. Your new title should be “TAG, COMPANY NAME Donates $10,000 toCHARITY NAME“ or in our case, “Fort Myers Marketing Firm Andrian Marketing donates $10,000 to the Red Cross.” Can you see how many ways that our release can get read?

The second biggest thing that is missing from so many Press Releases that I find on the internet is a link! I’ve read their releases I want to learn more, how can I find them? Some don’t even give the name of their website! A Press Release is a great way to get an inbound link to your site. For those of you who are trying to learn how to do this on your own and are not aware of this, Google ranks websites based on two things, Content and Inbound Links. The more inbound links that you have that match your content, the better your ranking will be when people search for that term. Not including a link or even an anchor tagged link in a Press Release, which is accepted on quite a few sites, is tantamount to leaving money on the table. The link you gain from your Press Release will improve the ranking of your website for the key terms in your anchor. If you think that you don’t know what an anchor tag is, I bet you’re wrong. Have you ever seen words that are colored like this “important keywords“ that links to a website? That is an anchor tagged link. The way that Google sees it is that those keywords relate to a website on the other side of that link and proceeds to give it a ranking for those keywords. I’m not saying that you need a hundred Press Releases, but to not get a free anchor tag when one is offered is a sin.

For added reference, look at www.prweb.com for great samples on writing press releases. If you know you need one now and are stuck, please don’t hesitate to call us, I’m sure we can help you. Call 866-990-8155 for help!
